Costumes
The steampunk theme gives the costume designers a heavy task. It calls for a heavy, elegant, detailed, estenric costumes.

Hamlet
The photo to the left is the look for our main character. The skull on his left shoulder represents the revenge Hamlet seeks for.

queen Gertrude
The elegant and beautiful gown that queen Gertrude wears shows her natural grace and charm that she has towards the other characters. It also shows how much attention she gets and desires during the play.

The siblings: Laertez & Ohpelia
-
L: the all black shows the darkness that overcome Laertes.
-
O: is given a white and simple gown resembling her naive feelings for Hamlet that lead her to her death
King Claudius
The armour on his right hand shows all the power and fortitude that the king has over the other characters. It shows how he wants power and how much he will fight for it.

Ensemble
The overall theme of other characters of the play is simpler, more discrete, non- attention grabbing clothing . This type of clothing was chosen because it allows the characters to show the level of significance they have next to the main characters. They have one or two solid colors, very simple, no accessories, contrasting the outfit King Claudius wears. These outfits makes the audience pay more attention to the main characters, and how important they are.
Soldiers
All soldiers will have a uniform look as seen to the right of the screen. This costume will also be used for Rosencrantz and Guildenster.
